How To Make God A Daily Habit

Making God a daily habit is a lot easier than one may think. Yes, of course, there are the busy everyday task, weekly task, and the monthly goals stacking up on the chair in the corner of your mind. Oh yeah, speaking of that corner chair, what about that pile of laundry looking at you from the living-room? I know, I know. I am right here with you, sister (or brother). There's a lot to do and of course, plenty to think about.

I am here to remind you of something MUCH, much greater to think about. That is, the power of Almighty God.

With God's will and God's help, it is a lot easier than you may even believe. Allow me to share a few tips that I applied in my own life that helped me to focus more on God in my own life. I am sure one of these angels of approach will work for you, too.

Thank God For Waking Up, Every Morning

Morning Sunshine

This is one of the easiest, and to me, most beneficial ways to not only make God a daily habit, but to just improve your overall mood and day in general. Starting your day with thanking God for waking up starts your day with gratitude. An attitude of gratitude def has a way of drawing the Holy Spirit closer to you in everyday life.

15 Min Bible Study Goal, Daily

There is a so much power in taking a short amount of time and praying/reaching out to God. Even if you don't know what to pray, know that is okay. That is the great thing about God. HE knows exactly what you need before you pray. Make it short. Make it long. Just know that God hears you, and he will not forsake you. HIS mercies and blessings are great.

Pray Over Your Meals

Food is not just a great way to bond with family here on Earth, but it's also a great way to bond with God. Remembering to pray over your food or bless your food at dinner overnight helps to fulfill the heart for a long day's work. God is able to use that setting around the table to fill you will thankfulness for your health, and HIS provision for it. It reminds us, God doesn't leave us hungry. Not in flesh, and not in spirit. He provides the fruits and seeds, oils, meats, all for us. He even granted us dominion over HIS creation of food! (Genesis 1:26-28) How amazing is that? Before you know it, you'll remember to thank God every time you eat or drink.

Morning Devotion or Prayer Time Before Breakfast

Mornings can be hard for some- there is a good reason why we call it "mourning". But, if we dedicate this time that the enemy could easily take hold of in our minds, it gives the grief some feel at the start of the day to God so he can turn your day around for us, before we have the time to even consider messing it up. We gear our mindset towards God, and give the day to HIM, it is usually all downhill from there. Give the day to HIM, and all it's stresses and trouble, too. You won't regret it.

One Daily Verse Minimum

Bible Study Daily, Matters!

If one or all of these ideas seems a little overwhelming, that is okay. You don't have to over do it, or stack up a list of "must" on your Christian idea board. Just start by opening, or obtaining, a Bible to read his word. God will meet you where YOU are, no matter where that is. If you open any page, and start with any one verse, and focus + pray on that, God will come rushing to your aid. I promise you that.. I can testify this experience, myself.

The Rule of 7: Give it & Days

God created us in a very special way- and that way is that if we create a routine, we can usually make that routine a habit that sticks after 7 days of doing it. It has been proven that the human mind tends to cling to information that's been studied or presented 7 times, or more. We can use this special little bit of information to our advantage (yay) by using the rule of 7 and give it 7 days to set in.

God is always there with you. HE goes before you, beside you, and behind you every step of the way. He will not leave you, he will not forsake you. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8) Remember this in ALL of your endeavors, big or small. That his plan for you is righteous, and great, and sovereign, and holy. He knows exactly what you need, and I am praying on that here with you today.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read, today. If you prefer, we have the same lesson every week on YouTube. It would mean so much to me, if you watched.

May God bless you + keep you,

Xoxo, Aleea
